Simon Pulo born in 1977 at Mtarfa is a Maltese artist lover who has always been passionate about expressing his emotions through beautiful art and music.

Simon was truly born with an artistic soul. He is a self-taught artist and became particularly interested in fine art and hyper realistic art. The love for art might run in the family, after all even his father Saviour, is a talented oil and acrylic painter.

When Simon was only a kid, he followed in his father’s footsteps and watched him closely, as he painted beautifully. By the age of eleven, Simon had already mastered the art of drawing anything from landscapes to expressive portraits.

He loves to experiment with different techniques, whether it is charcoal, pencil, watercolor, oils or colored pencils, anything goes as long as there is passion.

Simon is a big admirer of artists as diverse as Leonardo Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Steve Hanks or Steven Kozar, just to mention a few. His work is a reflection of his influences, but it also showcases a unique approach, with a stunning original vibe.

When you gaze at one of Simon’s paintings, you can immediately get lost in a beautiful world of beauty and visual poetry, as stunning landscapes blur the lines between realism and expressionism, making for a style that feels vivid, yet incredibly emotional.

His inspiration to start exhibiting is to express himself with the love of art and also to promote himself as an artist. Simon Pulo and his father will be exhibiting a mix of art pieces which will include landscapes, floral and still life. The exhibition is not based on a particular subject. Pulo believes that everyone has different tastes and likes so having different art subjects will make the exhibition more interesting as it will show different techniques and capabilities of the artist.
